Fuji Electric IPM

6MBP100XDA120-50

Fuji Electric IPM X series (7th-Generation) In Stock

1200 V / 100 A Fuji Electric X series IPM in P630 with brake chopper for 400 V class inverters and servo drives.

The 6MBP100XDA120-50 is a 1200 V / 100 A Fuji Electric intelligent power module in the P630 package, with a brake chopper, from the 7th-generation X series. It combines a three-phase inverter bridge, the gate drivers, the protection circuits and a brake-chopper switch in one 84 by 128.5 mm package, so a 400 V class motor drive can be built around a single module and a microcontroller. The integrated protection covers overcurrent, short-circuit, undervoltage lockout and overtemperature, with the inverter overcurrent trip level set near 150 A and a 175 C overtemperature threshold, and the module reports a fault through its alarm output. The 1200 V rating gives the margin a rectified 380 to 480 V AC line needs, and the 100 A rating suits general-purpose inverters, servo drives and appliance inverters in the kilowatts to low tens-of-kilowatts range. The brake chopper lets a fast-stopping load dump regenerative energy into a brake resistor without extra hardware. Every module is factory-traceable and ships with import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS documentation. BeiLuo holds this module in stock and our FAE team supports the control supply, trip levels and thermal design.

FAE Professional Review

The 6MBP100XDA120-50 is the IPM I recommend for a 400 V class drive that must brake. Putting the inverter and the brake chopper in one X series package keeps the board simple and the fault handling tidy. The 1.45 V saturation voltage keeps loss low, so the thermal design is straightforward if the heatsink is mounted flat.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I need the brake-chopper version?

Choose the version with a brake chopper when the load must stop quickly or hold a position, so regenerative energy can be dumped into a brake resistor. For a continuously motoring load such as a fan or pump, the version without a brake chopper is enough.

The model name and package identify the brake option.

How do I set the protection thresholds?

The module fixes the internal protection, but you select the current-sense resistor that sets the overcurrent trip level, and you must respect the alarm hold times. For this part the inverter overcurrent level is typically set near 150 A and the overtemperature threshold is 175 C.

Our application note covers the interface in detail.

What thermal design suits a 100 A IPM?

Mount the module flat on a clean, flat heatsink with a thin thermal interface and verify the case temperature at full load. The X series runs to 175 C, but a well-sized heatsink keeps margin and reliability high.
